Privacy Notice — GovPath

1. Who we are

This Privacy Notice explains how GovPath ("GovPath", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit govpathhq.com or use any of our services, including the Rise To Lead programme. GovPath is the data controller responsible for your personal data.

2. What we collect

Account & enrolment data: name, email address, phone number, state, and the tier you select.
Communications: messages you send us through email or support channels.
Usage & technical data: pages viewed, actions taken, device type, browser, IP address, and approximate location, collected via standard web logs and analytics.
Cookies: small files that support session, preferences, and basic analytics. See section 8.

Payment card details are not collected or stored by us. They are collected and handled directly by our payment processor, Paddle.

3. Why we use it (purposes & legal basis)

Provide the Service — create your account, deliver the programme, and respond to enquiries (legal basis: performance of a contract).
Process payments and tax compliance — handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record (legal basis: performance of a contract / legal obligation).
Security and fraud prevention — protect the Service and its users (legal basis: legitimate interests).
Improve the Service — understand how the Service is used and improve content (legal basis: legitimate interests).
Marketing — send you updates about the programme. We rely on consent where required and you can opt out at any time.
Legal compliance — comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests (legal basis: legal obligation).

4. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with the following categories of recipients:

Service providers: hosting, email delivery, analytics, and customer support tooling, all bound by confidentiality and data protection obligations.
Paddle — our Merchant of Record — for sale of the programme, subscription and order management, payments, tax compliance, invoicing, and refunds.
Professional advisers such as legal, accounting, and audit firms when reasonably necessary.
Authorities where required by law, court order, or to protect our rights and the safety of users.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes set out above, then delete or anonymise it. Account and enrolment records are typically kept for the duration of your relationship with GovPath plus a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, to receive a copy of your data in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@govpathhq.com. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, restricted access controls, and routine review of our security practices. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep yours protected.
