Terms & Conditions

Last updated: April 20, 2026

1. Who we are

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the websites, content, courses, and services (collectively, the "Service") operated by GovPath ("GovPath", "we", "us", or "our"), including the Rise To Lead programme offered at govpathhq.com.

2. Acceptance of these Terms

By accessing the Service, enrolling in a programme, or otherwise using anything we provide, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation. If you are an individual, you confirm you are of legal age to form a binding contract.

3. The Service

GovPath provides educational content and programming designed to help first-time candidates and women in Nigeria understand the political system and prepare to run for elected office. The Service is informational and educational. It is not legal, financial, electoral, or career advice, and we do not guarantee any political or electoral outcome.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you must not:

  • use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
  • send spam, phishing, or other unsolicited communications through the Service;
  • infringe the intellectual property rights of GovPath or any third party;
  • upload or distribute malware, or attempt to probe, scan, or test the security of the Service;
  • scrape, copy, resell, or redistribute course material or any other Service content; or
  • attempt to reverse engineer, circumvent technical limits, or otherwise interfere with the Service.

5. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that takes place under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

6. Intellectual property

All content, materials, software, branding, and documentation that make up the Service are owned by GovPath or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial educational use within the plan you have purchased. All other rights are reserved.

7. Payment, billing, and refunds

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payments, billing, applicable taxes, invoices, cancellations, and refunds are governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms and our Refund Policy.

8. Service availability

We work hard to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if:

  • you materially breach these Terms;
  • you fail to pay amounts due;
  • we reasonably believe your account is being used for fraud or poses a security risk; or
  • you repeatedly or seriously violate any of our policies.

On termination, your right to access the Service ends. We may, at our discretion, provide a reasonable export window for any of your content before deletion.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GovPath's total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, special, or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or political opportunity. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GovPath from any claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising out of your content, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will give reasonable notice (for example, by posting the updated Terms on the Service or by email). Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The courts of Nigeria have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
